While Ans, owner of Nice, Manchester United and the eponymous cycling structure, was sponsor of Tottenham, the boss and owner of these different Jim Radcliffe entities is accused by Tottenham of having unilaterally broken the sponsorship contract that bound them. The London club even attacked the owner of Manchester United, who fell in the Europa League final against these Spurs.
According to The Times, Tottenham claims an amount of around 13 million euros, which is broken down into 6 million for last year's payments, 6 other million for the coming seasons and just under 500,000 euros in interest. “We had the contractual right to terminate our partnership contract and in December 2024, we exercised this right. Like any business, we must be vigilant about our operation and the investment of our marketing budgets. It is completely normal for the partnerships to be regularly reassessed, and we decided that it did not suit us ”stated Ineos in a press release.
