Real Madrid supporters are used to the long sagas of transfers, Kylian Mbappé may be the longest in recent years.

However, the constancy of rumors concerning Dani Ceballos, announced each summer to join Real Betis, is unwavering.

The 28 -year -old Sevillan extended his contract with the Merengues two years ago, binding it to the club until 2027. However, these last three summers, Ceballos was strongly mentioned for a return to his original club, Real Madrid. The Verdiblancos also mentioned the idea, but publicly announced that they would not pay significant transfer compensation for Ceballos.

Xabi Alonso dissipates the doubts of Ceballos

This week, it was reported that Ceballos, as is his teammate Eduardo Camavong, also lacking playing time in recent times, was not for sale. Cadena Ser reports that coach Xabi Alonso went further and announced to Ceballos that he would not leave anywhere this summer.

Ceballos himself had considered the idea, declaring himself “open to everything” and suggesting on the social networks that he had tried to make this transfer concretize. However, it seems that Alonso needs him whatever happens.

Ceballos will remain at Real Madrid.

The doubts of Ceballos as to his maintenance at the club were based in part on the short playing time from which he benefited during the Club World Cup, less than 90 minutes on the six games played. Ceballos competes with Arda Guller, Aurélien Tchouameni, Fede Valverde, Camavong and Jude Bellingham next season.

Many media reported that Alonso needed another midfielder this summer, but the club hesitates to ruin itself to recruit it. Not using Ceballos in the United States was perhaps his way of showing management that he was perhaps not convinced by Ceballos and that a new recruit was necessary.
