Barcelona is expected to recruit a new titular attacker next summer, Robert Lewandowski's contract expiring in 2026.
The search for a potential replacement has been underway for some time, and a new name was added to the list.
The list of candidates was considerably reduced this summer: Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres joined Manchester United and Arsenal respectively, and another would be out of the question if Alexander Isak joined Liverpool.
Julian Alvarez is still appreciated, but it is very likely that it is not available next summer. More financially viable options are therefore envisaged, and as Sempre Barca revealed, one of them is Dusan Vlahovic.
Barcelona is positioning itself as a serious pretender for Vlahovic, the press confirming that the club has already contacted the entourage of the Serbian striker, thus laying the foundations for a possible transfer next summer.
Provided that he does not leave Juventus this summer, Vlahovic would be free from any contract in 2026, provided that he did not sign an extension of contract before June 30. Barcelona has successfully exploited the market for free agents in recent years, and this could once again be the case.

Barcelona positions itself as a serious pretender for Vlahovic
Is Vlahovic good enough to be the holder of Barça?
At 25, Vlahovic still has great years ahead of him, and Barcelona certainly hopes that this will be the case. He has experienced difficulty in Juventus since his transfer from Fiorentina in 2022, and the giants of the Serie did not plan to keep it at the club beyond his current contract.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona will make serious efforts to recruit Vlahovic, who has also been envisaged by Real Madrid in recent months. In an ideal world, they would opt for someone like Alvarez or Isak (if he remains in Newcastle United), but since a high -level central defender is also necessary next summer, they will probably only be able to spend a lot for one.
