Second medal for the French delegation at the Cycling Worlds in Rwanda, two days after the third place in Maxime Decomble on the male junior time trial. The six runners of the mixed relay team finished second in the timed event on Wednesday, September 24, behind Australia, title holder.
He missed five seconds to Cédrine Kerbaol, Juliette Labous, Maeva Squiban, who had taken over from Bruno Armirail, Pavel Sivakov and Paul Seixas, to win a first world title in the discipline.
Labous and Kerbaol nevertheless provided a big effort in the last hectometers by taking up eight seconds between the last intermediary and the arrival. But the duo Brodie Chapman-Amanda Spratt held a good Australian side. The first is offered a second consecutive title in this team mixed team relay, such as Jay Vine and Michael Matthews also present in 2024 and 2025 (Luke Plapp and Felicity Wilson-Haffnden completed the relay on Wednesday).
The Blues equal their best performance, established in Glasgow in 2023. Bruno Armirail, Cédrine Kerbaol and Juliette Labous had already adorned with money.
