For their entry into the Mixed World Cup in Chengdu, China, the French table tennis team easily won this Sunday against Brazil, without conceding a single set. The band of the Lebrun brothers, Prithika Pavade and Simon Gauzy will face Germany this Monday on RMC Sport.
The Blues did not hang around for their entry into the competition in the ITTF Mixed World Cup in Chengdu, China. Winner of Brazil in less than three matches (8-0), the French table tennis team got off to a great start to the competition which takes place from November 30 to December 7.
Alexis Lebrun and Jianan Yuan won their first mixed doubles in three sets (11-4, 11-6, 11-4) before Prithika Pavade did the same in singles (11-9, 11-6, 11-4) and Félix Lebrun just had to finish the job (11-4, 11-4).

Fourth in 2023 and seventh in 2024, the Blues have big ambitions this week in China. This competition brings together 16 nations, divided into four groups of four teams. The confrontations stop as soon as a team has reached eight sets. At the end of the three group matches, the first two in each group are transferred to a single group.
To represent France, Simon Gauzy, Alexis Lebrun, Félix Lebrun, Charlotte Lutz, Prithika Pavade and Jianan Yuan were selected. Last week, Félix and Alexis Lebrun fought a huge duel in the final of the WTT Star Contender in Muscat. The younger of the two brothers won after leading 3 sets to 0. A victory which put him on cloud nine before the WTT Finals in Hong Kong, a competition which brings together the 16 best players in the world and which will begin three days after the end of the Mixed World Cup, on December 10.
