Thymen Arensman (ineos grenadiers) opens his counter on the Tour for the return to Superbagnères. The Dutch climber, long in a group of counter behind the Frenchman Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), flew solo in the slopes of Luchon-Superbagnères to win the 14th stage, his first on the Tour de France, Saturday July 19, and his fourth in career.

With this victory, Thymen Arensman comes to save the very discreet tour of his ineos-grenadiers training until then. Behind him, Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates XRG) and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease A Bike) were mutually attacked in the last kilometers, without creating separation. Lenny Martinez (Bahrain-Victorious) took him precious points for the mountain ranking, while Remco Evenepoel (Sudal-Quick-Step) threw the sponge from the first climb, at the Col du Tourmalet.
