One year after his historic title, Félix Lebrun returns to Montpellier for the WTT Champions which begins this Tuesday. The draw has been made and some Blues are better served than others.
Finalist of the Grand Smash in Beijing, European team champion in Croatia… Félix Lebrun is experiencing the end of 2025 full of emotions. And it's not about to stop since the 19-year-old Frenchman will defend his title starting Tuesday at the WTT Champions in Montpellier.
In 2024, after his bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Félix Lebrun became the first European to win a WTT Champions tournament. Since then, the Montpellier native has proven that he is one of the greatest table tennis players of the moment, rising to 5th place in the world rankings during the last update in October.

Franco-French shocks from the start
The draw for the Hérault tournament, which will be held until Sunday, was therefore made this Sunday. Table tennis fans will witness a Franco-French clash from the first round between Simon Gauzy and Lilian Bardet. On the Lebrun side, Félix will face Dane Jonathan Groth before meeting the winner of Gauzy/Bardet in the 2nd round.
Alexis is in the lower part of the table. In the first round, he will play the Nigerian Quadri Aruna. And the youngest French side, Flavien Coton, 17, inherited a very big first match against Lin Yun-Ju (8).
On the women's side, the draw did not favor them because Prithika Pavade will play her compatriot Charlotte Lutz, before potentially finding Jia Nan Yuan. But the latter will have a hard time facing the TDS 5, the Japanese Miwa Harimoto.
