Liverpool seeks to consolidate his defense by targeting the signatures of two new recruits.

The Liverpool FC has not yet completed its transfer window. Eager to further strengthen its defensive positions, the Mersey club has already launched the big maneuvers to attach the services of two central defenders: Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace) and Giovanni Leoni (Parma).

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the recruitment of the English international could finalize for around 40.5 million euros, bonus included. In parallel, the Reds also have an agreement with the Italian, and an common ground could be found with the Gialloblù around 30 million euros.

Slot rubs hands

While Guehi was promised playing time in the event of arrival in Anfield, Leoni should also directly join the first team led by Arne Slot. The possibility of a loan in Serie A is therefore dismissed.

If the Champion of England makes these two transfers, he would undoubtedly breathe new blood into his rearguard. Enough to bring additional competition to a sector for the moment made up of the Virgil Van Dijk veteran, Ibrahima Konaté and Joe Gomez, currently unavailable due to an Achilles tendon injury.
