The third stage of the Tour de France 2025 was the last day in Hauts-de-France. The stage, 178.3 km long, connected Valenciennes to the port city of Dunkirk. This plain stage was a new opportunity for the sprinters teams, despite the usual risk of the wind by the sea.

It was the Belgian Tim Merlier (Sudal Quick-Step) who won the stage during a massive sprint in front of the Italian Jonathan Milan, after a stage marked by several falls including that of the Belgian Jasper Philipsen, winner on Saturday in Lille and the first yellow jersey of this 2025 edition, forced to abandon.

The Dutchman Mathieu Van der Poel keeping the yellow jersey.
