On the program of the Tour club, Wednesday July 9: the first individual time trial of the Tour de France 2025, which took place over 33 km around Caen. This crucial step offered a significant first opportunity for favorites in the general classification to dig differences or to consolidate their position.

It was the Belgian Remco Evenepoel who won this fifth stage of the Tour de France. This time trial saw the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar take the yellow jersey at Mathieu Van der Poel.

World champion and Olympic of the discipline, Evenepoel relegated Pogacar to 16 seconds and Edoardo Affini at 33 seconds.
