From Bollène, the runners of the Tour de France 2025 traveled 160.4 km to Valence, Wednesday July 23. A step that promised to be very open before the Alps and the ascent to Paris.

The Italian Jonathan Milan, 24, won in the Sprint, in Valence, his second stage in this Tour de France, ahead of Jordi Meeus and Tobias Lund Andresen. For his part, the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar kept his yellow jersey on the eve of the Reine stage in the Alps.

The rain was invited in the last 40 kilometers of this 17th stage, causing a red flame fall which notably involved Biniam Girmay and Ralenti Tim Merlier.
