The UAE Team Emirates XRG team extends its domination a little more over the peloton. The formation of the Tadej Pogacar yellow jersey won on the 15th stage of the Tour de France, Sunday July 20 in Carcassonne, thanks to the Belgian Tim Wellens. The 34 -year -old runner, who especially played the role of teammate since the start of the race, was the strongest of a breakaway which once again required a huge battle to train. He flew away 43 km from the finish, just after the last coast listed by the day, Le Pas du Sant, and was no longer revised by a group of pursuers in which French was Warren Barguil (Team Picnic-Postnl).
He thus signed his 41st career victory, his very first on the big loop in six participations, which allows him to complete the trilogy after two successes on the Giro and two others on the Vuelta. This fifth Belgian success on this edition of the Tour de France, gleaned by the national champion, comes on the eve of the country's national holiday, when a tricolor success is still waiting, one week before the arrival on the Champs-Elysées.

Another Belgian takes second place, Victor Campenaerts (Visma-Lease A Bike), a teammate from Jonas Vingegaard. Fallen at the start of the stage, Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor) won the sprint for third place ahead of Wout Van Aert (Visma-Lease A Bike) and another French, Axel Laurance (ineos grenadiers).
Only one change is to be reported in the Top 10 in the general classification, the land that has not made it possible to make differences between the leaders. Only Carlos Rodriguez (ineos grenadiers) took the ninth place from Ben Healy (EF Education-Easypost) by taking the break for 15 seconds. The four distinctive jerseys will remain on the same shoulders: yellow for Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates XRG), green for Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), peas for Lenny Martinez (Bahrain-Victorious) and white for Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).
