A 4th stage of Tour de France Indecination and 174.2 km long was looming this Tuesday, July 8, between Amiens and Rouen, through Picardy plains exposed to winds before an accident final in Normandy. 2050 meters of elevation are on the menu throughout this day, and they will be mainly concentrated in the last 50 kilometers, where the five referenced coasts are listed. A not insurmountable sequence but which could still be fatal to the pure sprinters, with the very stiff Saint-Hilaire ramp (800m to 10.6%), the summit of which is located just 5 terminals from the finish, deemed slightly. Enough to offer an undecided scenario and a good struggle between punchers and fast runners.

A new victory by Van der Poel?
If the race is racing, the yellow jersey Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) seems unbeatable in an arrival at the Sprint in a small committee, between favorites and punchers. Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | lease a bike) and the French Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa-B&B Hotels), Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ) or Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor Pro Cycling Team), offensive and fringent on Sunday, will they start attacking this final? If pure sprinters as Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) et Jonathan Milan (Lidl-trek) are a priori too fair to cross the difficulties of the day, more versatile runners like Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty), Kaden Groves (Alpecin-DECEUNINCK) OU Wout van Aert (Visma | lease a bike) could have a chance.
