“Always happy to be at the start”
Asked about the place and the role he will have to play alongside cycling behemoths, Primoz Roglic gave a confusing response, and tackles this Tour de France : “I don't really need to designate my rivals. Obviously, given the way in which Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel run … But we also have strong guys with Florian Lipowitz who finished 3rd in the Dauphiné, so we also target the podium on the Tour de France. For my part, I don't have much to do it, or not to win it, will not play my life anymore.
Also questioned about the course and more particularly his first week, the Slovenian explained wanting “survive”: “Yes, it is probably preferable to survive in the first week. This is probably a good example of what happened last year in France. So, yes, you have to go to the end. I always say yes to participation in the finals. And yes, normally it is at the end that the race is really decided. With age, you learn certain things and you look at them so that it helps you, it is obvious to me.
