While all eyes were riveted on the struggle for the stage victory at the top of Mont Ventoux and the duel between Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) et Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates XRG), the battle for the podium raged a few tens of seconds behind. Indeed, on the 16th stage of Tour de Francethe duo of the Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe – Florian Lipowitz et Primoz Roglic – as well as the Briton Oscar Onley (Picnic Postnl) met together at a third level of the race. And the German-Slovenian duo has continued to harass Onlyy attacks … before it ends up cracking.

“I don't want to finance these attacks”
On the line, Roglic et Lipowitz have respectively repelled Onlyy at 38 and 36 seconds. On his account Stravathe Briton even said in a humorous tone: “I will no longer buy Red Bull, I don't want to finance these attacks”. Onlyy is now found in 4th place in the general classification, with 2'01 “delay on Lipowitz and 38 “ahead of Roglic… The podium seems to be moving away for him.
