In a final marked in the (successful) attempt of border Team Visma | Lease a Bike which has trapped Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), les Alpecin-DECEUNINCK were particularly impressive. Present at five in the leading group, we first saw them riding to prevent the return of Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step), Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) and other trapped sprinters, before launching to perfection Jasper Philipsen towards victory thanks to a royal sprint train made up of Kaden Groves et Mathieu van der Poelexcuse a little! The Belgian also seizes the leading yellow jersey after this 1st stage of Tour de France 2025.

“It's fantastic to start like that”
At the microphone of Cyclism’Actu, The Dutchman, who has already known the joy of wearing the yellow jersey, welcomed this perfect start for his team: “It was a great opportunity for us today to take the yellow jersey. We did a nice job. I think the tour is already successful for us. As a team starting like that it's beautiful. All day it was very nervous. As everyone thought we were going to have a massive sprint, Visma made a nice blow and we were at the front with the whole team at that time.“
