A last round for the winner of the 2018 edition
For the experienced Welsh Geraint Thomas who competes with his 14th and last Tour de Franceit is obviously a disappointment to see one of his teammates go home so quickly: “This first step was as a stressful and chaotic expected. It is very harmful to already lose runners. I saw the fall and it didn't look too serious. But his head hit and I think there was a concussion protocol. It's the right thing to do, but it's a shame to lose it so early. Personally, I find it difficult to have fun on a stage like this but it's good to finish it in good health.
