Marcus Rashford received a warning from the last English to have played for Barcelona: Marcus McGuane.

Rashford finalized his transfer on loan from Manchester United to Barcelona and received a warning from McGuane, the last English to have played for Barça. He is now playing for Huddersfield Town, after joining the club from Bristol City this summer, but he played for the first team of Barcelona in 2018, becoming the first English to play for the club since Gary Lineker in 1989.

Marcus Rashford wants to succeed at Barça

McGuane joined Barça after leaving the Arsenal training center and, although he admits that this transfer was premature for him, he warned Rashford against the traps to avoid if he wants to succeed in Camp Nou. Rashford made his debut on Sunday in a pre-season friendly match against Vissel Kobe.

McGuane told Sun: “On the ground, I'm sure he's going to start on the wheel hats and make a good impression. He is a high -level player who has fantastic qualities and who has a lot to bring to his team. So I'm sure he will flourish.

Rashford must learn the language

Outside the field, I would recommend him to immerse himself in the local culture and to immerse himself in his new community. His family and friends will play a crucial role to settle down and feel at home as quickly as possible. When you find yourself in a foreign country, you learn a new language and you adapt to a new culture, you need a good support network. »»

Barça will face FC Seoul on Thursday. Rashford will be keen to make a strong impression before his first season abroad.
