Zabarnyi too expensive? PSG does not wait and advance its pawns discreetly on another unexpected target from the Netherlands.

The Zabarnyi file is getting bogged down, but Paris does not want to waste time. Luis Campos, still looking for reinforcements for the central hinge of PSG, explores other profiles so as not to undergo the whims of the market. The Ukrainian defender, deemed too expensive by Doha, sees his future in Paris darkens as negotiations stagnate. Meanwhile, a more affordable option is seriously starting to gain ground.

It is Ryan Flamingo, revelation of the PSV Eindhoven. The young Dutch defender, 22, comes out of a full season under the colors of the Champion of the Netherlands. Indisputable holder, he played 49 games in all competitions, scored 3 goals and offered 2 assists. With a modern profile – clean stimulus, good reading of the game, speed and physical impact -, Flamingo seduces the Parisian staff, which has been following it for several weeks in the utmost discretion.

A promising and much more affordable profile

What also pleases is its price: estimated at 20 million euros, Flamingo would represent a much more reasonable opportunity than Zabarnyi, for whom Bournemouth claims 70 million. At this rate, PSG could even consider two defensive reinforcements instead of one. Luis Enrique, who claims density in defense, sees it as a malleable element, capable of quickly integrating the automatisms of his system.

Campos, true to his opportunistic transfer window style, keeps several options on hand. In addition to Flamingo, PSG continues to observe Tomas Araujo (Benfica), Yusuf Akçiçek (Fenerbahçe) or Joel Ordonez (Bruges). But if Flamingo maintains its level and remains accessible, it could become the ideal solution for a hinge to be rebuilt.

A pivotal summer for the PSG rearguard

PSG does not intend to be locked up in an interminable soap opera. The idea is clear: quickly secure two coherent profiles to leave strong from summer preparation. With Flamingo, Paris may already hold a first piece of the puzzle.
