Aston Villa would plan to recruit the Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku to strengthen his attack at the end of the transfer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Villans are planning to recruit the 27 -year -old to strengthen their attack after a calm transfer window. The club would have “contacted” with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and the RB Leipzig being also interested in French.

Aston Villa provides a surprise transfer for Nkunku

The Chelsea striker could be about to leave

Villa has not yet scored in two Premier League games and an offensive depth may be necessary to strengthen players like Ollie Watkins. The team of Unai Emery drew 0-0 against Newcastle United, without recognized attacker, while Brentford, expected for relegation, won 1-0 on Saturday, a new disappointing result for the villans. It is essential that Villa keeps other offensive talents like Morgan Rogers. From Chelsea's point of view, Nkunku is largely perceived as an excess player and was mentioned as a departure throughout the transfer window.

The Blues striker, Nicolas Jackson, is also on Villa's list according to Romano, while Marco Asensio's return was also envisaged. Faced with this new interest in Nkunku, it seems likely that the Villans will attach the services of an attacker before the end of the transfer window.

Aston Villa will face Crystal Palace at Villa Park and seek to straighten the bar, potentially with a new face in attack to help the Emery team find an offensive form. Nkunku has many admirers and could seal a departure from Stamford Bridge, ending an irregular period in the London west of the former Leipzig striker.
