The years go by and the Barça jersey never ceases to change the design of its traditional Blaugrana vertical strips. After having reintroduced a design cut into two parts last year, which echoed the jersey of the late 1990s, but also integrated more particular designs as in the 2021-2022 or 2019-2020 season with the now famous Croatian checkerboard, Nike still reinvented vertical bands. This time, it is a gradient that appears.
Bands yes, but still a change
Of course, we find the global identity through this new Barça jersey since the basic colors are obviously present. On the other hand, the purists will necessarily regret that the historic design of the club jersey is still swept away from a pencil settling.
Struck with a large Spotify logo in the heart of the outfit, and which will probably be replaced over the season and the Clásicos by ephemeral presence of artists as was the case last year, the Barça's home jersey is still relatively sober in its visual approach. Accompanied by a touch of yellow, the outfit incorporates a few small details such as the mention “FC Barcelona” inside the pass of the jersey and, in the back, just under the neck, the Barça flag and the Lady that intermingle.
A special operation around the new Lamine Yamal issue
Already available for sale on Barça store but also at Nike, the new Barça jersey is not yet available with a flocking in the name of Lamine Yamal. While the prodigy is supposed to recover the number 10 of Ansu Fati, who left for Monaco, the formalization drags and, in the meantime, FC Barcelona sets up a “Mystery Number” operation which allows fans to buy the jersey but to receive it only when the number 10 will be officially that of Lamine Yamal.
