The Principality club has completed its summer preparation with a defeat against Inter Milan this Friday.

This Friday evening, AS Monaco received Inter Milan on the lawn of the Louis II stadium, for a last friendly pre-season match. A final rehearsal for Adi Hütter's men before starting their Ligue 1 campaign against Le Havre on August 16.

The two major recruits of summer, Ansu Fati and Paul Pogba, still in the recovery phase, were absent from the group. On the other hand, the new goalkeeper Lukas Hrádecký, fresh from Bayer Leverkusen that same day, was established for this prestigious poster.

The Inter overthrew the match

From the first seconds, the Monegasques made the difference, requiring only a little more than a minute to take the advantage. Maghnes Akliouche, well served by Mika Biereth, laid down a powerful strike from the left foot which was flyed (1-0, 2nd). Despite a limited issue, the meeting turned out to be harsh, notably with the exclusion of Hakan çalhanoglu, expelled after more than half an hour of play following a second yellow card (36th).

In the second half, the Nerazzurri found the fault. Despite their numerical inferiority, the Italians equalized at the time of play. Lanted in depth, Lautaro Martinez played by Thilo Kehrer before deceiving Hrádecký (1-1, 60th). Then, on a fast counter, Ange-Yoan Bonny undermined the Monegasque defense before offering the advantage to the Inter (1-2, 80th). This defeat, suffered eleven against ten, leaves a black task in the preparation of the club of the rock, which remained on a series of seven games without defeat.
