Nemanja Matic’s career will now continue in Italy. Free since the termination of his contract with Olympique Lyonnais by mutual agreement on August 14, the Serbian midfielder quickly found a new fall point.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 37 -year -old veteran was in talks with Sassuolo, recently promoted to Serie A. The two parties agreed and the former Chelsea player will engage with the Neroverdi for a season, until June 2026, with an optional additional year.
