League 1. Nei Dazn, Canal, Bein or Amazon, the LFP formalizes the production company
Mediawan Sport will produce the new channel dedicated to Ligue 1.

The Professional Football League formalized this afternoon on Monday afternoon the choice of Mediawan Sport to ensure the editorial production of its future dissemination platform of Ligue 1. This decision follows a call for tenders launched by LFP Media.

Mediawan Sport, a subsidiary of the Mediawan group supported by Xavier Niel and led by Pierre-Antoine Capton, was retained on all four lots offered: the management of editorial personnel, editorial production of matches, that of multiplex and that of magazines.

Several candidates had responded to the consultation, including 21 production which was among the finalists of the last phase of the call for tenders. The LFP underlines in its press release that “all the companies having responded to the call for tenders have delivered quality applications”. In turn, several actors announced as credible and/or legitimate candidates have withdrawn or are not even launched, like Canal+ or the old broadcaster, Dazn.

The Ligue 1 platform will be launched in August

“The choice of Mediawan Sport is part of the will of LFP Media to offer a quality platform to the French public with a strong editorial ambition”explains the director of marketing and editorial of LFP Media, Jérôme Cazadieu. “This partnership marks an important step for Mediawan Sport, and we will put all our editorial and creative expertise at the service of this great ambition”continues Frédéric de Vincelles, the general manager of Mediawan Sport.

The Ligue 1 platform will be launched on August 15, 2025, coinciding with the resumption of the French championship. This initiative is part of the LFP strategy to create its own broadcasting champion championship.
