The emotional elevator for UAE Emirates. The 6th stage of the Vuelta 2025 was expected as the first high altitude test for favorites in the general classification, with 3,475 meters of elevation gain between Olot and the Andorrane ski resort of Pal Arinsal. And if Jonas Vingegaard (Visma – Lease A Bike) lost the red jersey he had recovered the day before, the UAE Emirates stable has something to feed concerns after the counterperformance of its leader Juan Ayuso, released in the final ascent.

A disappointment, however, attenuated by the good news of the day, since the Emirati team won this first mountain stage, thanks to Jay Vine. Starting in the morning escape with nine other runners, the Australian enjoyed his twenty minutes late to the general after a fall to slip into the right blow of the day. Before distorting company to the other escaped in the penultimate ascent, to impose themselves alone in front of the Norwegian Torstein Traeen (Bahrain Victorious), new leader of this Vuelta.
