The newspaper L'Equipe recently revealed that OM was trying to keep Ismaël Bennacer as part of a new loan. Discussions between Marseille and Milanese leaders were underway to find an agreement. And the case seemed on the right track. But obviously, things don't happen as planned!
The refusal of AC Milan!
The 10 Sport site indicates that AC Milan has simply refused OM's proposal, which offers a simple loan, without purchase option: “According to our information, OM has simply been rejected by AC Milan for this dry loan request. Milanese leaders refuse the conditions proposed by their Marseille counterparts. AC Milan agrees to separate from Ismaël Bennacer but either in the form of a dry transfer, or in the form of a loan with a compulsory purchase option “.
Will OM draw again?
To keep Ismaël Bennacer, OM will therefore have to take out the checkbook. And a priori, Medhi Benatia should do it. Roberto de Zerbi very much appreciates the experience and the volume of play of the Algerian. Unless surprised, an agreement should quickly be reached on the basis of a loan with a purchase option.
