This night, there were a lot of goals in the club World Cup. To close group A as it should be, Inter Miami challenged Palmeiras at the same time as Porto faced Al-Ahly. Two very prolific encounters at the end of which no one won. However, the two big winners of this evening are the American club and the Brazilian training. Indeed, despite their draw of the night (2-2), the two teams qualified for the rest of the tournament. Winners of Porto in the previous match (2-1), the Floridians quickly took the advantage thanks to Allende (16th). At the time of play, Luis Suarez scored his first goal of the tournament to offer the station wagon to his own. An advance which finally collapsed with the Brazilian goals of Paulinho (80th) and Mauricio (87th) at the end of the match to snatch the draw (2-2).
A draw which therefore benefits the two teams that qualify, because, at the same time, Porto and al-Ahly neutralized themselves after a very prolific match (4-4). Led at halftime by a double of Wessam Abou Ali who had answered the only goal of Rodrigo Mora, the Portuguese club had reacted to the return of the locker room thanks to William Gomes (2-2, 50th). But while Above Ali Ali offered the hat-trick in the process (3-2, 51st), Samu presented the two teams to height a few seconds later (3-3, 54th). Finally, Porto, who was still led after a goal from Ben Romdhane in the 64th minute, snatched the draw at the end of the match thanks to Pepê (4-4, 89th). Eliminated, the Dragoes concluded a calamitous tournament with no victory and non-qualification despite an affordable group. For their part, Inter Miami and Palmeiras will respectively face PSG and Botafogo in the round of 16.
