Viktor Gyokeres has given up part of his contract with Sporting CP in order to facilitate his transfer to Arsenal.
Arsenal continues his discussions with Sporting CP to recruit the Swedish scorer after being discouraged by the requirements of the RB Leipzig concerning Benjamin Sesko. Gyokeres clearly said throughout the summer that he desperately wanted to sign with the Gunners and that he was doing everything possible to conclude his transfer to the north of London. In addition to having refused to return to Lisbon for the pre-season, according to the record, the attacker would even be ready to give up 2 million euros in his salary in order to facilitate negotiations between the two clubs.
The Gunners and Sporting have been in negotiations for several months about Gyokers, but no agreement has yet been found concerning the amount of the transfer. The striker was furious after the Portuguese club insisted that only an offer of 80 million euros would be sufficient to convince him to separate from his key player, but it seems that Arsenal and Sporting are about to conclude an agreement. The Swedish is also ready to give up part of his salary to join Arsenal, negotiations should accelerate and end quickly.
A sacrifice of 2 million euros
Since his arrival from Coventry, Gyokeres has scored 68 goals and delivered 17 assists in just 66 Liga Portugal games for Sporting. He added six other goals in eight appearances in the Champions League for the club. Despite his restlessness for a transfer, the impact of gyokers to Sporting will not be forgotten to soon by his fans.

Viktor Gyokeres is talking a lot
Gyokeres should soon become arsenal player and join the club for the pre-season. He could join the new recruits Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin ZubiMendi for matches against AC Milan, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur in Asia, and could well be joined by other arrivals in Arsenal. Gyokeres already dreams of making his first league debut with Arsenal against his former coach Ruben Amorim in Old Trafford.
