It was in tune with the times and it is now official. Gabriel Gudmundsson leaves LOSC and joins Leeds United. The DOGUES announced the news this Tuesday via a press release. “LOSC, Leeds United FC and Gabriel Gudmundsson agreed for the transfer of the Swedish international defender (26) to the Premier League club.” The northerners then paid tribute to the player.
“Gabriel Gudmundsson in LOSC, this is the story of a remarkable progression, of an ascending trajectory, moreover, often borrowed by other former mastiffs in recent seasons, proof of the know-how of the Lille club in terms of development of its talents. This story is that of a young Swedish hope who arrived at the DOGUES in the summer of 2021 from Groningue (Netherlands). Powered in a very freshly crowned group French champion, the versatile left -handed managed to show a frank evolution over the matches, discovering Ligue 1 in turn and the European games with a state of mind and an impeccable involvement. Four years later, “Gabi '” left LOSC in the shoes of a Swedish international solidly installed in selection and with 137 games (4 goals) all competitions played in the Lille jersey, around 3 European campaigns (including 2 in Champions League). The LOSC thanks Gabriel Gudmundsson for his professionalism and for all that he brought to the club during these 4 rich seasons.
