The OM coach recognizes the path that remains to be covered to challenge PSG supremacy and aims to reduce the gap in the future.

Vice-champion of France with twenty points behind Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille has failed to compete with the capital's club. A blatant gap which also distinguished itself during the classics between the two teams, concluded by two defeats: in the first leg (0-3) and on the return (3-1) for the Phocaeans, in the championship.

And to believe the words of the Marseille coach, Roberto de Zerbi, the observation is shared. For the Italian technician, the sky and white must still cross a CAP if they really want to claim the status of Rival of PSG.

L’ambition claire

“I think we did a superb championship last season. Unfortunately, we have never managed to compete with PSG, but in Europe no one managed to do it ”explained the former coach of Brighton.

“We want to compete with Paris better than what we did last season. I am not saying that PSG is greater than OM. I say they have so far had more strength than OM. (…) When we play against PSG, we want to win, we want to compete, but the truth, it is there. Paris last season was almost unbeatable ”the conclusion of Zerbi.
