“Dad, you've won everything, now you can stop“. Paracyclist Mathieu Bosredon, triple Paralympic champion in Paris in 2024, listened to his son and announced on Friday October 17, the end of his career after having “won everything“. Also double world champion in 2024 and 2025 and European champion in 2023, the 34-year-old Frenchman signed a professional contract last year with the Cofidis team, a great first for a paracyclist in France.
“Until then, I was always afraid of disappointing and that's what pushed me to want to continue and why not until the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles (in 2028, editor's note). But on the other hand, I feel like it's time to rest my body. And I want to give more to my family who have always supported me“, specified the Corrézien, in a press release from his Cofidis team, specifying that the words of his son had “simplified life“.
