
Manchester United concluded a complete agreement for the sale of Antony to Real Betis for a transfer compensation of 25 million euros, according to David Ornstein.
The Brazilian international was expected to join the Betis throughout the summer transfer window, after a fruitful loan last year. He is now about to make his official return.
This is what Ornstein of The Athletic, who says that Real Betis, wanted to renew the 25 -year -old player in a new loan, but that he finally agreed to pay an initial compensation of 25 million euros to sign it definitively.
Additional clauses could bring BETIS expenses to 28 million euros, while Manchester United will keep a resale clause of 50 %.
Antony scored nine goals and issued five assists in 26 appearances on loan to Real Betis in the second half of last season. The Spanish club finally reached an agreement for its return to Liga after weeks of negotiations with Manchester United.
An agreement in principle was reached last week, but it was questioned due to a dispute concerning the salary reduction that Antony would be forced to accept to join Betis. However, the problem has been resolved and The Athletic confirms that Manchester United will not subsidize his salary.
Antony is expected to join Real Betis for 25 million euros.
