Rare images on the Tour of Portugal… but not so surprising in view of weather conditions and temperatures in Europe for a few days. The 4th stage was interrupted this Sunday in Vila-Real 50 km from the finish, tried at the top of the Difficult Mondim in Basto (8.4 km at 7.7%), due to an intense fire which threatens on the course. The latter would be one in the penultimate rise of the day, the ascent of Serra do Alvao, with huge clouds of smoke that emerges. While fire trucks are mobilized to try to fight fire, the organization logically decided to neutralize the race time to find a solution, for obvious security reasons. The runners finally left and will take a new route which will bypass the burned area and dangerous to join the final justice of the peace, the ascent of Serra Do Alvao being canceled. At the time of neutralization, there was a small group of five runners in the breakaway, with just under 4 ′ ahead of the peloton
