The road to Occitanie – CIC concluded this Saturday, on the occasion of the 4th stage between Saint-Gaudens and Saint-Girons (128 km). As expected, the win was played in a sprint in small committee. Indeed, it was necessary to pass the collars placed in the first 100 kilometers – Portet d'Aspet (4.4km to 9.5%), Col de la Core (14.2km at 5.9%) and Col de Latrape (5.8%to 7.3%) – to then argue the sprint. And this little game there, it is Thibaud Gruel which was the strongest. The Frenchman of the Groupama-FDJ won ahead Andrea Vendrame (Decathlon Ag2R) and his teammate Cyril Barthe (Groupama-FDJ). Not put in difficulty on this final step, Nicolas Prodhomme (Decathlon AG2R) therefore wins this 48th edition. He is accompanied on the final podium by Davide Piganzoli (Polti Visitmptalta) et Steff Cras (Total energy).
