At 18, Paul Seixas (Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale) has just won her first top 10 on a WorldTour event, on the occasion of this Dauphiné criterium. Despite an 8th step not easy, especially marked by a fall in the last ascent, the Rhodanian clung and did not give up. 6th this Sunday, he loses two places in the general classification, but still signs a capital performance … Unheard of at that age!

“I still have a big walk to cross”

“Tobias Johannessen attacks in our yellow jersey group, everyone is deported to the right, the guy in front of me mowing me, I can't do anything to avoid him. In an instant, he turned complete, but it was not his fault, I was in his blind spot. There was nothing to do”said Seixas on arrival.

“I was completely dead. All day, I set up the passes as if it were the last. I thought a lot that it was not going to do it, that I was not in a good day. I hung on. I finished 8th of the general, I did not think about it at the start last Sunday. The team trusted me”he continues. “I still have a big walk to cross, still a lot of caps to reach. To be able to be very far from the best, it's already incredible. I have the impression that it's a time out of time. It's just crazy! I know now that I am real.”
