While the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 season is getting closer, the question of the French football championr is still pending, just as it was long last year at the same time. But unlike last year, the outcome seems more easily accessible, with negotiations that advance well around the chain project 100% Ligue 1. According to RMCCanal+ will be the host of this new channel, but its role will go further.
Indeed, the historic channel of Ligue 1 hoped to co-institute the championship, or at least recover the poster of Sunday evening, but that will not be the case. The LFP has decided to make Canal+ the Ligue 1 chain distributor, at the expense of other candidates as a video bonus. Thus, eight matches out of nine will therefore be broadcast by the new channel, BeIN Sports retaining its weekly poster.
