Always on the lookout for the best opportunities on the market, OM is preparing an ambitious summer transfer window under the leadership of Roberto de Zerbi and Medhi Benatia. In search of promising defensive reinforcements for the future, the former Moroccan international would have a very attentive eye on an explosion talent on the side of Parma: Giovanni Leoni. Only 18, this Gaucher central defender is making a name for Serie B, to the point of attracting the biggest Italian and English clubs.
A big battle in Milan
According to the latest indiscretions from Italy, Giovanni Leoni is today the subject of a real showdown between the two Milanese giants, AC Milan and Inter. The two Lombard clubs would have already come into contact with Parma to feel the field, but they are not alone. Bournemouth and Tottenham, attentive to the hatching of this athletic and technical profile, would also have checked the name of the young Italian to strengthen their defense. A fierce competition therefore, but which does not seem to cool the ardors of Medhi Benatia, determined to place OM in the race.
Too expensive for OM?
Aware that the Roberto de Zerbi project requires a solid and turned defense, OM plans to double its opponents with a quick offer for Giovanni Leoni. Under contract with Parma until 2029, the Italian prodigy could see the auctions climb up to 30 million euros … Not sure that OM drops such a sum for an 18 -year -old kid.
