Barcelona is concerned about the physical form of his star striker Robert Lewandowski, recently injured.

Lewandowski recorded his best statistics under the colors of Barça last season, allowing Blaugrana to make a national triple, with 27 Liga goals and 42 all competitions.

The Polish international has missed the last weeks of the season due to an injury and did not play against Poland in June, as a precaution and to rest.

Barça worried

However, before his last summer pre-season match against Côme, during the Joan Gamper trophy, this weekend, Barcelona confirmed a muscle injury in the 36-year-old player.

Previous reports indicated that Lewandowski was totally absent for the match against Côme and that the Barcelona opening match will be missing against Mallorca on August 16.

Ferran Torres also suffers from an injury and Marcus Rashford has not yet been recorded as a liga player, due to a persistent controversy concerning the absence of Marc-André Ter Stegen for injury, which would have made it possible to release the salary space.

Robert Lewandowski injured

The information about Lewandowski's return is mixed, but Diario AS indicates a convalescent time of two to three weeks, which would deprive him of the trip to Levante on August 23.

The first three Barcelona games in 2025/26 will be played out of Catalonia, the club aimed at a return to Camp Nou in September. Lewandowski may not be in danger against Rayo Vallecano on August 31.

A return to the national team from Poland is scheduled for early September, following discussions with its new coach Jan Urban. He wishes to participate in two key games in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers 2026.

Poland will face the Netherlands in Rotterdam on September 4, before a home match against Finland three days later.

The Poles won two qualification games in March, with Lewandowski in the team, but lost 2-1 against Finland in June, as part of his temporary exile.
