Barcelona is currently doing its pre-season tour in Japan and South Korea, a tour that has proven to be far from simple so far.
The trip had almost been canceled following claims to breach of the promoters, and even after a resolution, the Catalans accused behind in their departure.
They won the first game of the tour, winning 3-1 against Vissel Kobe. However, this match and training sessions in East Asia have highlighted a new problem.
A problem with Nike
According to MD, many complaints have been made by Barcelona players concerning the new jerseys, revealing excessive weight gain due to perspiration.
Raphinha, one of the most influential personalities in the Barcelona locker room, would have expressed himself very openly on the subject, stressing the many problems encountered with the Brazilian jersey, whose outfits are also provided by Nike.
Hansi Flick is not satisfied either
Hansi Flick noted this problem and listened to the complaints of his players. As a result, he asked FC Barcelona management to find a solution. Sport reports that he wants in particular that new lighter jerseys will be made for his team.
Footballers need to feel comfortable on the ground and, to play at their best, they must also be at the best of their form. This means that they are not too heavy, and that their jerseys are behind this problem is therefore very worrying.
It remains to be seen if a solution can be found, but Barcelona hopes – and ideally, as quickly as possible.
