Barely arrived in Catalonia, a reinforcement from Barça is already relegated, a victim once again the club's financial constraints.
FC Barcelona has just sent a worrying signal to its supporters: despite its efforts to renew the workforce, one of its new faces was not integrated into the first team. However, the operation seemed to be activated, the player had impressed during the preparation and counted on a full season under the orders of Hansi Flick. But the club's economic reality has decided otherwise.
Bardghji victim of the salary ceiling
The recruit in question is none other than Roony Bardghjithe 19 -year -old Swedish striker arrived from FC Copenhagen this summer. In the absence of space in the salary ceiling imposed by the Liga, Barça could not record it in its professional workforce. Result: Bardghji will have to evolve with Barça Atlètic until the least January, under the orders of Juliano Belletti. A frustrating decision for the player as well as for the staff, Flick having publicly underlined his potential after a successful pre-season.
This situation once again illustrates the structural limits of the club. Despite the seated sales and expected adjustments, Barcelona did not find a solution to integrate Bardghji into his accounts. The young talent, who hoped to cross a milestone, finds himself in a lower division, without real European visibility. For a club that wants to be in reconstruction, the image is heavy with symbols.
Numerous history in Barça
This is not a first. In recent years, the same problems have repeated. Dani Olmo, recruited at a high price, had experienced the same recording blockages last season. Before him, other recruits had to wait for weeks, sometimes months, before being officially qualified. A recurrence which reflects the difficulty of Barça to respect the financial constraints imposed by the Liga.
In reality, this type of situation is part of a long history: since 2021, the Catalan club is struggling to balance its accounts and register its reinforcements on time. Despite the economic levers activated by Joan Laporta and the recovery promises, blockages persist. The Bardghji case is therefore only one more than one soap opera which seems endless.
