Arsenal dominated Leeds United on the second day of the Premier League, winning a large score thanks in particular to the doubles of Viktor Gyökeres and Jurrien Timber
This Saturday, Arsenal welcomed Leeds United to the Emirates Stadium for the 2ᵉ day of the Premier League. After half an hour of play, Mikel Arteta's men opened the scoring. On a corner pulled by Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber jumped the highest near the surface and placed a head that was lodged in the right net of Lucas Perri, recently arrived from Olympique Lyonnais (1-0, 34ᵉ).
The vice-champions of England were breaking at the end of the first half. Bukayo Saka, launched at full speed by Timber, won his duel against the Brazilian porter with a shot placed in the center, leaving the old Gone (2-0, 45+1).
Gyökeres opens his counter
The Gunners began the second period on the same pace. In the 48ᵉ minute, it was the turn of the new Arsenal offensive recruit to open its goal counter. From the left side, Viktor Gyökeres pierced the defense of the Peacocks before sending the ball into the small left net of the goal (3-0). The meeting then turned to the demonstration.
The Londoners struck again before the time of play, with a second goal from Timber on a lost ball, perfectly taken up by the Dutch defender who was still deceive Perri (4-0, 56ᵉ). The Arteta Men Festival was completed with a penalty obtained by the young Max Dowman and transformed by Gyökeres, who thus offered himself a double (5-0, 90+5ᵉ). Arsenal temporarily takes the lead in the classification, while Leeds finds himself in 11ᵉ place, in the soft belly.
