“I think I'm not the one who has to pay for all this.” The Spaniard Javier Romo, taken in a fall caused by a Propalestinian demonstrator on Sunday, was forced to abandon the Tour of Spain on Tuesday, September 9 during the 16th stage, the organizers announced. He had fallen during the 15th stage on Sunday, marked by Propalen demonstrations targeting the Israel-Prime Tech team. The 26 -year -old was embarrassed by a man with a Palestinian flag who stumbled while trying to enter the roadway, before being arrested.

Javier Romo said before the departure on Tuesday on Spanish television that this individual had “Grute” his race, believing that he had avoided “A tragedy”adding not being “Person to judge the acts of these people (…)”. In the context of the war in Gaza, the Vuelta, one of the major races of professional cycling, is disturbed daily by Propalenian events targeting in particular the Israel-Prime Tech training. The latter had decided on Saturday, to change his jersey by removing any mention from the country, “To favor security” of its runners and “The whole peloton”.
