The tricolor international Christopher Nkunku made the decision to bounce back to AC Milan, a destination he joined with great enthusiasm.

This summer, Christopher Nkunku took the direction of Italy to join AC Milan. The Lombard club did not hesitate to invest 43 million euros, bonus included, in order to afford the services of the French striker.

Trained in Lagny-sur-Marne, the player turned the page of two contrasting seasons in Chelsea. A passage marked by multiple injuries in 2023-24 and by a limited playing time, especially in the Premier League during the last exercise.

An immediate decision

This delicate context undoubtedly weighed in Nkunku's decision to leave London. In an interview with the Rossoneri media, the former RB Leipzig said he had no hesitation when the Milanese opportunity arose.

“The first time I have heard of AC Milan was special for me. I didn't think too much, I said yes immediately. I just wanted to hear about the project – and it happened ”he said. It remains to be seen whether the Neo-Milanese will be able to relaunch enough to find the French team for the next World Cup.
