According to the Spanish press, it is the young Kees Smit, midfielder of Az Alkmaar, who is now interested in Real. The 19-year-old, the Dutchman was crowned best player of the last Euro U19, where he greatly contributed to the coronation of the Netherlands with four goals. A feat that precipitated his return to the Madrid shelves, after a first tracking in Youth League in 2023.

Smit has played 31 matches this season with AZ, for two goals and two assists. A modest assessment for a player promised to replace a real monument.
