Second day of racing only, and we could already attend a first explanation between Cadors. In the aftermath of Jasper Philipsen's victory (Alpecin-Deceuninck), the first yellow jersey of this 2025 Tour de France, the peloton took the road towards Boulogne-sur-Mer, Sunday July 6. 209.1 km are on the program for this second stage, the longest in the big loop this year, with a particularly quiet first part and an explosive finish, conducive to the best pumpers on the planet.

The favorites, including the irresistible Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates-XRG) in mind, could well illustrate as the last 30 kilometers offer a very demanding route with the sequence of three coasts, certainly, but very steep (from 9% to almost 10.5% of average!). A field also appreciated by several French people such as Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor Pro Cycling) or Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ). For his part, Mathieu Van der Poel will have the desires of a yellow jersey, which he had already worn for his first participation in 2021?
