The former English international striker Andy Carroll has signed up with the Dagenham & Redbridge club, resident of National League South (6th English division). A surprising signature for a player who passed by Liverpool, West Ham or Newcastle, announced the same day as the recovery of the club by a group of private investors Qataris. An ambitious new project seems to take shape in Dagenham.
At 36, Carroll comes out of a convincing last season with the Girondins de Bordeaux, where he scored 11 goals in 23 national games 2. Before that, he had already attempted the adventure in France with Amiens in Ligue 2.. With this unexpected arrival, the ex-Three Lions is becoming the headliner of a club in full transformation.
