Olympique Lyonnais will soon be fixed on its short -term future.

Time is running out and uncertainty remains. On June 24, theOlympique Lyonnais was officially demoted in Ligue 2 after its passage before the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG).

A terrible verdict for the Rhone club, initially relegated as a precaution. John Textor, the American owner of the club, has set back since this decision to give way to Michele Kang, who has been sitting on the board of directors since 2023.

Hope now lies in the appeal made by OL after this decision. The club must present 100 million euros, at least, in order to meet the requirements of the DNCG. A capital file that will find its outcome very quickly.

OL integrated into the LFP calendar

According to information from the team, the Federal DNCG will examine the Olympique Lyonnais file this Wednesday, July 9, when it was initially scheduled for Thursday. OL will therefore be quickly fixed on its fate in order to configure the next season.

A 2025-26 campaign that will start on August 15. It should be noted that despite the official relegation pronounced by the DNCG, the Rhone club appears in the calendar and the communication of the LFP for the next financial year. In the meantime, the workforce lift, which has already started, should accelerate.
