Paris Saint-Germain announced the signature of the young Ilian Mhand, a 20-year-old Belgian-Moroccan attacking midfielder, who was playing until recently in Challenger Pro League with the Kmsk Deinze. A discreet but intriguing arrival, while the Parisian club continues its investment strategy on potential profiles.
Trained at the FCV Dender EH, Mhand had joined Deinze in 2022. But the bankruptcy of the Flander club left him free in the spring of 2025. Rather than sinking, the young Brussels resident took the opportunity to carry out a test with PSG in April, which turned out to be conclusive. After several days of training with the U23, the staff validated his arrival, formalized on June 30.
PSG proposed a two -year contract to Mhand, with immediate integration into the U23, but also regular training with the Pro Group led by Luis Enrique. The club is betting on him as a project for the future, in line with a policy that favors the detection and development of young talents rather than flashy transfers.
With this recruitment, PSG remains faithful to a logic launched for several Mercatos: anticipate the post-star by securing emerging profiles. Mhand thus joins a list of young people recently recruited or extended by the club, with the idea of building a young and trained internal spine.
