It's official: the 2025-26 Liga season will start on August 15 and will end on May 24. The Federation published the calendar of the 380 games of the year, with some beautiful posters from the first days and some uncertainties, especially around Real Madrid.

FC Barcelona, reigning champion, will launch its season against Mallorca. For its part, Real Madrid is supposed to face Osasuna, but this match could be postponed because of the Club World Cup. For the moment, nothing has yet been decided: the AFE (the players' union) requests that the Madrid have three weeks of vacation and three weeks of preparation. Not sure that the liga will see it the same eye …

No drawing

Contrary to what was still done recently, no draw was made to establish the calendar. This time, everything was done “by hand”: the Liga, the Federation and the Liga F have worked on more than 400 criteria to build a coherent program, without riding between the big posters. Result: several clubs had asked to start the season outside (often for reasons of work or events in their stadium), and were heard.
