Known for his volcanic temperament on the grounds, especially during his passages in Marseille, Saint-Étienne or Bastia, Brandão begins a new career, far from his famous helmet. At 45, the former Brazilian striker was appointed principal coach of the Racing Club Luxembourg, a reserve team of the club, thus marking his first experience as a number one coach.
Since his retirement in 2018, Brandão had occupied deputy roles, notably in Londrina (Brazilian D2) and Virton (Belgium). He now takes the reins of an ambitious team, second in his group in class 2 in 2025. With his 486 pros games, 164 goals, and several titles in Ukraine and France, he will bring his experience and character to a young generation in search of progression.
